About Us

At the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH), we are committed to promoting the health and well-being of all our community members. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance data reporting, management, and analytics in public health, we are proud to introduce the TDH Health Data Website.

The development of our health data website has been made possible through the generous support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) grant, specifically the Health Information Systems (HIS), C2 Data Modernization-COVID activity. This funding has allowed us to design, implement, and maintain a state-of-the-art data portal, which will streamline access to valuable information.

This health data website is built around an open data platform that serves as a centralized hub for accessing and utilizing a wealth of public-facing data from various divisions and offices within the TDH. Through this site, we aim to improve data access, foster collaboration, and empower partners to make informed decisions that protect and enhance Tennessee's health.

Our platform is designed with ease of use and accessibility in mind. Users can easily navigate the platform to find the data and visualizations needed for research, grants, presentations, reports, and websites. We have ensured that the data and visualizations are readily downloadable, enabling seamless integration into your work.

The TDH Health Data Website can be a valuable resource for community members and a powerful tool for public health practitioners, healthcare providers, policymakers, and other professionals working in the field. By providing access to comprehensive and up-to-date data, we empower these individuals to make information-driven decisions that have a positive impact on community health outcomes.

We want to emphasize that while the data on our platform is freely available for use, it is not to be sold, repackaged, or reproduced without express written consent. This ensures the integrity and proper usage of the data and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
